THE TWO LAST FABLABS OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR publié le 20/06/2023
The two last fablabs the 6e could do concerned glider planes, as last year, and the world of Roald Dahl.
For the first one three teachers were involved : in Physics Mr Jovéné, in technology Mrs Dubosc and in English Mr Toquoy. During the 2 first sessions the pupils discovered the vocab concerning the different parts of planes and the notions of forces with entertaining activities. Then the 3 last sessions they made their own glider using cardboard of different sizes and thicknesses : they cut the pattern with a cutter, coloured, customed and finally glued the parts. During the last session they tried to make the glider fly… successfully or not depending on the proper balance it had !
For the second fablab the pupils were introduced to the world of Roald Dahl and especially to « The BFG ». Working in groups of 6, each supervised by a French teacher (Mr Bikialo or Mme Ecalle) or an English teacher (Mrs Audebrand) or the assistant (Hiram), they learnt their part and thought of the way to play it : how to move, where to stand or lie, what props to use and how. After rehearsing many times they performed their part in front of the other groups and they can be proud of themselves as it was a great job !
Next year there will be new fablabs for the 6e … and an option « LCE English » for the 5e !
Les deux derniers fablabs que le 6e purent faire concernaient les planeurs, comme l’année dernière, et le monde de Roald Dahl.
Pour le premier, trois enseignants ont été impliqués : en physique M. Jovéné, en technologie Mme Dubosc et en anglais M. Toquoy. Au cours des 2 premières séances, les élèves ont découvert le vocabulaire concernant les différentes parties des avions et les notions de forces avec des activités divertissantes. Puis les 3 dernières séances ils ont fabriqué leur propre planeur en utilisant du carton de différentes tailles et épaisseurs : ils ont coupé le patron avec un cutter, l’ont coloré, personnalisé et finalement en ont collé les pièces. Lors de la dernière séance, ils ont essayé de faire voler le planeur… avec ou sans succès suivant si le bon équilibre était bon ou non !
Pour le deuxième fablab, les élèves ont été initiés au monde de Roald Dahl et surtout à « The BFG ». Travaillant en groupes de 6, chacun supervisé par un professeur de français (M. Bikialo ou Mme Ecalle) ou un professeur d’anglais (Mme Audebrand) ou l’assistant (Hiram), ils ont appris leur rôle et pensé à la façon de le jouer : comment se déplacer, où se tenir ou se coucher, quels accessoires utiliser et comment. Après avoir répété plusieurs fois, ils ont joué leur rôle devant les autres groupes et ils peuvent être fiers d’eux car ce fut un excellent travail !
L’année prochaine, il y aura de nouveaux fablabs pour le 6e… et une option LCE anglais pour les 5e !
