2 more Fablabs in November and December publié le 13/04/2023

Some pupils of 5e have decided to join either the Fablab about the Futuroscope Model or the Fablab called A Piece of Cake .
For the first one, pupils had to make a model of one of the building of the Futursocope Park « the Astra or Arena » : they first had to calculate thanks to a 2D pattern of the building the measures the several needed parts (prisms and spheres) and proportionality to create their own small 2D pattern. Then they had to cut it and glue it to get the 3D model.
For the second Fablab the pupils had to show their artistic skills in order to illustrate idioms in English and French. After working on the meaning of some idions with animals with the English-speaking assistant, each group of two pupils chose one idiom and on an A4 paper started to draw or paint or glue paper, cotton… as if doing scrapbooking. They finally wrote the idiom in the two languages and a leaflet with all their productions was created and is going to be shown in the library of the school.
In 2023 new Fablabs for the 6e will start…

Des élèves de 5e ont décidé de participer à l’un des deux Fablab suivants, soit The Futuroscope Model, soit A Piece of Cake.
Pour le premier, les élèves devaient fabriquer la maquette d’un des bâtiments du parc du Futuroscope « l’Astra ou Arena » : ils ont d’abord calculé grâce au dessin en 2D les mesures des divers éléments nécessaires (prismes et sphères) et la proportionnalité pour réaliser leur patron en 2D. Ils l’ont ensuite découpé, collé et assemblé pour obtenir la maquette en 3D.
Pour le second Fablab, les élèves ont dû faire preuve de compétences artistiques pour illustrer des proverbes anglais et français. Après avoir travaillé sur le sens de certains proverbes concernant des animaux avec l’assistant de langue anglaise, les élèves par groupe de deux ont choisi un proverbe qu’ils ont illustré en dessinant, peignant, collant du papier, coton… comme s’ils faisaient du scrapbooking sur une feuille A4. Puis ils ont enfin écrit le proverbe dans les deux langues. Un livret avec toutes ces productions a été relié et sera exposé au CDI du collège.
En 2023 de nouveaux Fablabs pour les 6e vont débuter…
