Explain the basic science of global warming :

You can do a drawing as in the film and you have to use these answers.

- Solar radiation in the form of lightwaves passes through the atmosphere.

- Most of the radiation is absorbed by the Earth and warms it up.

- Some energy is radiated back into space by the Earth in form of infrared waves.

- Some of this outgoing infrared radiation is trapped by the Earth’s atmosphere and warms it up

To understand global warming

1.What is the consequence of pollution on the atmosphere ?
2.Why is it dangerous ?

3.What is the consequence of global warming on the mountain glaciers ?
4.Why is this point important for the population ?

5.What comparison can we make between temperature and carbone dioxide (CO2) ?
6.What is the situation of CO2 today ? Give an answer with the expression « natural cycle »
